Rating: ★★★★★

It doesn’t matter how much you weigh or what you look like – everyone could use a little extra time on the treadmill. Whether it be for weight loss, general fitness, or just for fun, a treadmill is an indispensible tool to have in your home or at your office.

But, finding a high quality treadmill can be difficult. There are so many different models out there – how do you know which one to pick? Well, that will depend on your specific needs, but most people are going with Soles most popular model, the Sole F80.

The Sole F80 has long been one of the most popular treadmills on the market. Now, in 2011, they have released a new improved version that is sure to take its popularity to the next level. It doesn’t matter what your needs are – from a simple machine to walk on all the way up to someone training for a marathon or a triathlon – the Sole F80 is the only machine you should be looking at!

Features:

- 3.0 Horsepower heavy duty motor – you have more than enough power for anything you need. It doesn’t matter what you weigh, this machine will be able to keep up with you with ease

- 11 MPH top speed – some machines have relatively limited top speeds…not the Sole F80. The F80 will take you from 0.5 mph all the way up to 11 mph in no time flat!

- 15% maximum incline – looking for a more intense workout? Crank the incline all the way up to 15% and start to sweat!

- Multiple programs, heart rate monitors, and various electronic features – the Sole F80 has multiple programs and other electronic features that are controlled through a beautiful 7.5 inch backlit LCD screen. You will be amazed at how good it looks!

Comparison to 2009-2010 Model:

There are a few important improvements that have been made to the 2011 Sole F80 that make it significantly better than the previous years model.

First, the running deck is longer. If you have ever used a treadmill before, you know that you can never have enough deck space. Even if you don’t have a long stride, it is great to have a little extra comfort room so you don’t risk falling off and hurting yourself.

Next, the LCD display has been improved. Now, the 2009-2010 Sole F80 had one of the best LCD displays in its price range, but this years model brings it to another level. It is 7.5 inches big, it is backlit, and it just looks incredible.

The final difference is the overall change in design. Now, this does not mean that the machine is more functional – it just means that it looks better in your home or office. This may be important to some people, but not others.

All in all, the 2011 Sole F80 is a vastly improved treadmill over last years model. Considering last years model was still rated as one of the best treadmills in it’s price range, you can be sure this is one excellent machine!

The Reviews:

When you read the reviews of the Sole F80 Treadmill 2011 Model, you will see that almost everyone has something positive to say about the machine.

Most people really appreciate the design and the build quality of this machine. When you look at other treadmills made by other manufacturers, it looks as if they are going to fall apart after a year or two. This is not an issue with the Sole F80 – it is built to last. When you are paying a somewhat substantial amount for a machine like this, that is definitely a good thing. As a byproduct of the excellent build quality, this machine will handle people who weigh up to 350 pounds with ease – it doesn’t matter how big you are, the Sole F80 just won’t quit!

Sole F80 Treadmill (2011 Model) Console

The F80's console includes a vibrant 7.5-inch LCD display and an integrated sound system.

The built in cooling fans, the backlit LCD screen, and the built in programs also make this machine very enjoyable to use. A major issue people have when using treadmills is discomfort, but Sole has done everything they can to make the F80 as comfortable and as user friendly as possible. If a machine is uncomfortable, you won’t use it – this is not an issue with the Sole F80.

This is not to say that everyone loves the Sole F80 treadmill, though. There were a few negative points that received mention in quite a few reviews.

The first negative was the overall weight of the machine. The build quality on this treadmill is excellent and it will last a lifetime, so it is understandable that it is quite heavy. If you plan on moving it yourself, you may have some trouble. But, once you get it to a place where you will use it, there will be no issues. What is the alternative? If you get a lightweight machine, it won’t be sturdy and it will fall apart.

Some other reviewers have issues with the level of noise that this machine made. But, relative to what? All treadmills create some noise – to expect whisper quiet operation from any machine is unrealistic. It is quiet enough for some people to use it in their apartments at night without waking their neighbors, so overall, the noise shouldn’t be an issue.

Finally, some people had issues with some of programs and functions not working. There were a few issues with the early Sole F80 treadmills, but Sole has addressed all of these, and they are nothing to worry about. If you do experience any issues, though, it will be covered under the guarantee and your issue will be fixed.

While every product does have some flaws, the positives far outweigh the negatives when it comes to the Sole F80. It is drastically improved over last years model, almost everyone has something good to say about it, and it does an excellent job of helping you stay in shape. If you are looking for a high quality treadmill, the Sole F80 is definitely a great choice!
